Only plans that are contracted with Optum/United Healthcare.

Motion Picture Industry (MPI)

Only some MPI plans that are contracted with Optum/United Healthcare.

Anthem Blue Cross (only a couple plans)

Only a few plans that are contracted with Optum/United Healthcare.

Typically only the MPI plans are in-network. NOT in-network with most Anthem plans.

Kaiser

SOUTHERN CAL PLANS ONLY. If you are with Kaiser, you need to contact them as well to get a referral for your first therapy appointment. Contact me as well so I can assist with accommodations.

Aetna- ONLY WITH PRIOR AUTHORIZATION

I am not in-network with Aetna. HOWEVER, due to areas of my specialty, I am sometimes able to obtain a "Single Case Agreement." Or if I have a client that changes insurance companies where I become out-of-network, they will sometimes contract a "Transition of Care" which will allow the client to get covered as if I am in that network as well.

Should I use my health insurance?

Often clients prefer to NOT involve their health insurance company for therapy due to privacy concerns. Please speak with Laura about both the pros and cons of using health insurance companies.
